We had the floors in Henry's room and our upstairs hallway sanded last week. This meant we had to relocate everyone's sleeping quarters to the first floor. We set Henry's bed up in the back room where the computer is. This is where he spent his naps and his nights. This is also the room in which the magic happens, blogwise, usually during Henry's naps or after he's gone to bed. Since he was all up in my space during key blogging times, nothing happened. Perhaps you thought we were living such full lives I simply didn't have time to sit at the keyboard and open up Moveable Type. You would be wrong. Most likely we were reveling in the novel glory of being able to eat in bed and watch tv at the same time. I love our sofabed.

I wrote a lot of great entries in my head though, does that count?

No.

Dear Jenn

I have a serious question about waffles and pancakes. I think they taste the same as they are both made of the same stuff. Apparently, this is not true according to my wife. I tried to restate that both waffles and pancakes are excellent when she makes them, but said that she never makes pancakes, so how would I know. I have offended the waffle god. -ess. Is there really a difference? I wish I had checked with you first as I am facing a potentially waffle-less existance. I also seem to need professional help due to my inability to tell the difference. Maybe then I will get more waffles.

Kevin "'Everything you make is great' is my new motto" Cunningham

This one's easy, although I'll let Jenn have the final word on it: Waffles are like five thousand times harder to make than pancakes. If she can make excellent waffles, then her pancakes will be off the scale amazing. Nuff said.

I also don't think they taste the same but that could be due to the different textures that waffles and pancakes have as opposed to their actually tasting different. Also, waffles force you to be fussy about making sure there's a blueberry sitting in each and every square when you're served them with fresh blueberries on top. Or is that just me?

And for the record, I'm pretty sure "Everything you make is great" was your motto from the very first second you met the Waffle Goddess, although you should probably present her with a golden spatula to make sure you get back on her good side.
