Interests

I've moved! Please visit my Bucknell web page . I'll probably post my reading diary of math and science books here soon. For now I want to keep up some links : (i) Fun and Unusual Science and (ii) Science & Policy.

To anybody who says that 'fun science' is an oxymoron, check out 'moronic acid' on the page of silly chemical names. Any of you chemists out there know that it might therefore be possible also to make oxymoronic acid. Also, don't forget to check out the highly disturbing solubility experiments with peeps and the always entertaining Ig Nobel prize winners.

Science Policy

An important direction for chemistry teaching is to link science and policy. This can augment courses for majors and nonmajors and would highlight the increasing responsibility placed on society to make major decisions on research intitiatives such as cloning, energy conservation, waste management, weapons development, space exploration, etc.
